WOKING Welsh Society
About Us . . .
Our aim is to promote and encourage Welsh cultural and social activities and friendship within and around the Woking area.
We meet monthly in Woking for all but the summer months. Meetings take place at St. Andrews Church, Goldsworth Park, Woking.
Meetings encompass a broad range of topics usually having a Welsh theme. We usually start the season in October with a Croeso Supper evening. Other meetings typically include listening to invited speakers, film evenings and much more . . .
The Society also has a small but enthusiastic band of players who perform a play or two each year
We celebrate St David’s Day with a dinner dance and Church Service
The Society also arranges occasional visits. Recent events include a visit to Cardiff and the Senedd, a Champagne tasting weekend in France and theatre visits
Current membership fees are £15 per year. If you are Welsh or are interested in matters Welsh then come and meet us.
